Silicon Carbide

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Silicon Carbide is a hard and sharp abrasive. It is extremely fast cutting, generating a rough surface finish. The raw materials are silica and petroleum coke. This product is obtained in the form of partly finished rock; it is then grounded, chemically treated of untreated according to types and graded in accordance with the European F.E.P.A. standards. It is very stable, has high resistance to oxidation and is also unaffected by acids and will only react to alkali at very high temperatures

Application

Silicon Carbide is used for cleaning extremely hard surfaces such as tungsten carbide or in cases whereby a deep cutting action is required to remove a thick layer of material such as stone cutting or carving.
